Stash Buster Saturday - Using up Paper Scraps

Hi everyone, for this week's Stash Buster project I decided to use up the paper scraps and strips I had left in the Mediterranean Blooms 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper pack.  I cut them down to 3.8cm x 3.8cm squares and then matted them onto 4.3cm x 4.3cm Basic White cardstock mats.

I made 11 cards using Night of Navy cardbases, the matted squares of Designer Series Paper, a Basic White cardstock rectangle die cut using the Textured Notes Dies, a Lemon & foliage image fussy cut from one of the sheets in the same paper pack, Linen Thread, Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots and the sentiment from the Delightful Wishes stamp set which was white heat embossed on Night of Navy cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this simple card layout showing you how to use those pesky paper scraps.

Stash Buster Saturday - 6 cards using 2" x 3" pieces of Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, as promised this week I am bringing you 6 cards made using 2" x 3" pieces of Designer Series Paper.  There are a lot a sketches that can be adapted to using the 2" x 3" pieces of Designer Series Paper.

I used 2 sheets of the Timeless Plaid 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.  I cut the two sheets into 2" x 3" pieces and worked out how I could adapt these pieces to the sketches I have used.  I do not know where a lot of these sketches originated, I just found card designs that I liked but they did not have any reference as to the sketch.

I decorated them the same elements from the Storybook Friends stamp set and dies and the Textured Notes Dies.

For the first card I cut the two pieces of 2" x 3" Designer Series Paper into 2" x 1 1/2" pieces.  These I matted onto pieces of Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 2 1/8" x 1 5/8".  These were adhered to the card front that was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.

For my second card I cut the 2" x 3" pieces into 1" x 3" strips and adhered thme to a piece of Basic White cut at 13.8cm x 9.5cm which was embossed using the Timber Embossing folder.  This was adhered to a Crumb Cake cardbase.

The second card adheres the two 2" x 3" pieces of Designer Series Paper that have been adhered to a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 8cm x 12.3cm and embossed with the Timber Embossing folder.  This was then adhered to a 8.5cm x 12.8cm Crumb Cake mat which was then adhered to a 9.5cm x 13.8cm Basic White mat then adhered to the Crumb Cake cardbase.

For my fourth card I cut one of the pieces into 2" x 1 1/2" pieces and flagged the end of one of these pieces.  These were then adhered to the backof the other 2" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper before being adhered to the card front which had been embossed with the Timber Embossing folder.  A Crumb Cake cardstock banner was cut at 3" x 3/4" and the Easter Greetings sentiment stamped using Early Espresso ink.

For the fifth card I cut one piece of 2" x 3" Designer Series Paper into two pieces, one measuring 1" x 2" and the other 2" x 2".  These were adhered to the piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 9.5cm x 13.8cm and embossed with the Timber Embossing folder.  The other piece of Designer Series Paper was adhered over the gap between the other two pieces of Designer Series Paper.

For the sixth card I cut one of the 2" x 3" pieces of Designer Series Paper into two pieces measuring 1" x 3".  These were adhered to the cardbase which had been embossed with the Timber Embossing folder.  The pieces of Designer Series Paper are slightly over lapping each other, adhere the other 2" x 3" piece in place and embellish.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stash Buster.

Stash Busting Saturday - 3 cards from 3 pieces of 15.2cm x 4cm Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, sharing the cards I have made for this week's Stash Buster.  It is a variation of the cut and shuffle technique with a fun fold card as the card base.

I have used the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies, Stylish Shapes dies and the Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

The card base is a piece of Basic White Thick A4 cut at 10.5cm x 29.7cm.  On the long edge score at 3.8cm and 14.85cm.  Fold the card base in half at the 14.85cm score line and then do a valley fold on the 3.8cm score line.  This pieces folds back onto the card but to not adhere it down yet.

Cut each of the 10cm x 15.2cm pieces of Designer Series Paper on the 15.2cm (long edge) into 3 pieces, one 10cm x 7.4cm, one at 10cm x 3.3cm and one at 10cm x 4.5cm.

Adhere the 10cm x 7.4cm piece of Designer Series Paper to the left side of the card front, making sure to leave a small border top, bottom and on the left side.  Now adhere the folded edge of the card base in place, it will slightly cover over this piece you have just adhered in place on the right side.  Adhere the 10cm x 3.3cm piece of Designer Series Paper in place on top of the folded over section.  Adhere the last piece of Designer Series Paper (10cm x 4.5cm) to the inside of the card on the right side, making sure to leave a small border.

To decorate I die cut the daisies and leaves and added some Boho Blue and Old Olive ink to some of the pieces, making sure to leave a lot of white space.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stash Buster.

Stash Busting Saturday - A Little Latte

Hi everyone, for this week's Stash Buster I am using some products from the Last Chance list.

I have made 6 cards using the A Little Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, Latte Love Stamp Set and Dies, Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots and Polka Dot Trim.  I made 6 cards using these products.

To make these cards you will need to cut the Designer Series Paper at 13.3cm x 9cm for the background piece and 9.8cm x 5.5cm for the middle panel.  These were adhered to Basic White mats cut at 13.7cm x 9.4cm and 10.2cm x 5.9cm before being adhered to the Early Espresso card base.

The coffee cup was fussy cut from the Designer Series Paper before the sentiment being stamped on it using Early Espresso ink.  Two pieces of the Polka Dot Trim were adhere across the middle panel before the coffee cup was adhere over the top using Dimensionals on the top and bottom portions only.  To finish the card some Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots were added.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stash Buster.

Storybook Moments 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - Day 5

Hi everyone, it is Day 5 of the Storybook Moments cards.  It does not get any simpler to make a card with this cut-apart.  I just added a sentiment from the Storybook Friends stamp set.

The 3" x 4" cut-apart was adhered to an Early Espresso mat cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" before being adhered to the Basic White card base using Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed the card for Day 5.
